In the few years we’ve lived, all of us have witnessed many uprisings around the world. The word “uprising” is from the Latin word tumultus meaning “a rebellion”, and that is what we’ve seen happen in one country after another. Some are old enough to have witnessed the Nazi Regime fall and democracy birthed in Germany. Many of us witnessed perestroika take place in the early 1990s, causing the Soviet Union to collapse and with it communism—highlighted with the bringing down of the Berlin Wall. These uprisings often cause “a rebellion” or shift in power, impacting a society for generations to come. We want to be a part of an uprising here in America—a rebellion of compassion.

Hundreds of thousands of Christians are catching the excitement of going and being the Church. Great compassionate initiatives are being pursued across our nation—and in the name of Christ. Gone are the days of just working and serving inside the walls of the church. Using acts of extreme compassion, we are determined to leave a lasting impact on our society for generations to come—introducing them to the power of love—Christ’s love.
