Foundation Events are educational or experiential opportunities that focus on a specific spiritual discipline. Formats can vary from one Foundation Event to another. One might be a three-hour silence & solitude retreat while another might be a one-hour class session that teaches participants how to more effectively read their Bible. The Foundation Events serve to develop distinct communities within the Foundation Ministry (i.e., a consistent Silence & Solitude retreat participants, prayer group participants, service teams, etc), regularly challenge the congregation to pursue spiritual disciplines, and keep the Foundation Ministry in front of the congregation.
