High School Ministry

Crave takes place on Sunday evening at 6:15p.m. in the chapel. We all “Crave” things. Some crave stuff, some crave popularity, and others crave White Castle. If we’re honest we crave relationships, we crave acceptance, we crave love, and sometimes we crave something that we can not even describe. “Crave” allows high school students the opportunity to connect with God and other students. We hang out and we talk and we realize that only one thing fills our cravings. “Crave” is a high-energy student focused worship experience that utilizes progressive worship, relevant teaching, fun elements, intimate communion, and small groups. Crave is the place to be on Sunday nights, we’ll see you there!

Sundays in Atrium B at 11:00a.m.

This class is specifically designed for new students to get acquainted with the High School Ministry and to meet some high school leaders. We will have leaders from 5 different schools helping to make a connection with new students from any area of town. We want them to know who we are and what we’re about. The class will last 12 weeks but you can join at anytime. It’s a laid back environment where we eat breakfast, learn about God, promote high school ministry programs, and connect with other students. I hope this class really helps new students transition well into this ministry just for them.

On Sunday mornings at The Creek you will see that high school students are a vital part of every aspect of ministry. We encourage students to “Activate your Faith” by serving on Sunday morning and in the community. Click the “Activate” page on the right to find out more.

Move Groups

Move - a verb meaning to make progress or start to go in the desired direction. Move Groups meet once weekly during the school year in homes on varying nights of the week and require a deeper level of commitment. These groups consist of 4 - 6 students and 1 adult leader. This allows you a much deeper level of connection with your friends and leader, which allows you to not just connect with each other but to be open, challenged and grow with one another; in other words you move with one another. Email Scott if you are interested in moving deeper this school year.

For Parents

The goal of the High School Ministry is that your student would begin to implement their faith.

High school is the time where students first begin to develop and experiment with their personal identity. They yearn to be both unique and accepted. They want to not just know something but experience it. They want to test it and try it for themselves. This can be an exciting, growing and dangerous time for them.

We desire to take advantage of this developmental stage by allowing them to move from a knowledge of God to a relationship with God. To move from a knowledge, or even practice of Biblical principles, to ownership of those principles. We want high school students to experience Jesus in such a way that they then imitate Jesus (discipleship), develop spiritual growth among friends (evangelism), and initiate service (compassion).
