Disability Ministry at The Creek

ACCESS is a ministry that exists to meet the needs of those families and individuals who have been affected by disability. We believe that each family that has been affected by a disability is a blessing to us, and we wnat to in turn, be a blessing to them.

Our goal is to extend Christ's love by:
  • Meeting their needs in a way that offers encouragement and support.
  • Providing opportunities for these individuals and families to be fully integrated into the church.

We not only welcome individuals with special needs - but truly feel that the body of
Christ is not complete without each one of them.

The following programs are offered in the ACCESS Ministry:

    Beautiful Blessings

    9:30a.m. Sunday School

The Beautiful Blessings Sunday school class is a special-needs class that meets at 9:30a.m.

This class serves children whose needs are not met in the regular Sunday school setting. In addition to music and prayer, volunteers help children with the Bible lesson and related activities using a special education curriculum.  All of this takes place in a nurturing atmosphere where each individual is loved and valued as a precious gift of God.

        Special Buddies Program

By providing one-to-one "buddies" in the Children, Junior or Senior High Ministries, ACCESS will assist in meeting the spiritual needs of the students with disabilities. In these ministries, Special Buddies facilitate the inclusion of the special needs student in the classroom. Each student, as needed, is provided a special buddy who ministers one-to-one by helping the student make friends and learn about Jesus through the activities and teaching. Special Buddies can be either adult or peer buddies, depending on the needs of the student. We also are able to provide Special Buddies for those kids who need one-to-one assistance to be able to fully participate in our summer Vacation Bible School program.  If you are a parent and you are in need of a buddy for Sunday morning, please email us and let us know.
