The Knot

We can’t ignore the pink elephant in the middle of the room. The knot is becoming untied. The institution of marriage is unraveling in our nation. Whether we read of it in the morning paper or hear of it on the evening news, there is clear evidence that marriage is under fire. The institution of marriage is under assault in our country. Whether by people in the voting booth or by judges rendering decisions in a courtroom, the institution of marriage is morphing in our culture.

Many societal issues are impacting marriage; those of divorce, cohabiting, same-sex marriage, and more. In our generation alone, we are witnesses to how our culture is reshaping this God-ordained and created institution.

How should we then respond? Our response is determined by how we think. As Christians, we’re to have a biblical worldview; meaning that we are to think like Jesus. When we think like Jesus, we will then live like Jesus—and that must impact the way we do marriage.

It’s time to tighten the knot.
