What To Expect on Sundays

We know it’s a scary time for various reasons and we want you to feel welcome and safe as we gather back together.

  • Live worship and preaching are back! Things are getting closer to looking more normal around here. :)
  • Next Gen programming (Nursery-High School) has resumed. We'll add updates to this page as we have them.
  • To limit contact with surfaces:
    • Pre-packaged communion will be available.
    • We will not be opening our café, so be sure to bring your own coffee.
    • Handouts will not be distributed. Download The Creek app to follow along with the sermon.
  • Facial coverings will be required at both of our campuses per Marion County guidelines. Masks will be available, but we encourage you to bring your own if you have one.
  • Rows in the Worship Center will be blocked off to encourage social distancing.
  • Additional sanitizer stations are located throughout the buildings.
  • ASL Interpretation will continue to be offered during the 11am service at Franklin Road.
  • Tithes and offering can be given safely and securely online as a touchless option.
Email us if you have questions about regathering.

NextGen Programming (Birth through High School)

We’re excited to see all your children and students back here at The Creek. We take their safety very seriously and want you to know things will look a bit different.

Contactless Check-in

  1. When you arrive at either campus, open thecreek.org/mobilecheckin and follow the prompts to enter your phone number, verify your identity and location, and select your child(ren).
*Location services will need to be turned on so that you get checked in at the correct campus.
  2. You'll be given a QR code that will be used for check-in on site. Take that to one of the stations near the entrance of Kidustrial Park and use the iPad to complete the process and get your sticker.
Your child will not be fully checked in until he or she receives a nametag.
  3. If you haven't done so already, be sure to update your contact info or create an account to make the process easier!
We'll have volunteers around to help. We can’t wait to see you Sunday!

  • At our Franklin Road Campus, Nursery, Elementary & Middle School programming are open for the 9 & 11am services. All Kidustrial Park rooms (K-5) will be open with limited numbers.
  • At our Shelby Street Campus, Nursery, Preschool, & Elementary programming is open during the 10am service.
  • Face Coverings/Masks Guidelines
    • Nursery (birth–age 2½) are not required to wear masks
    • Preschool (age 2½-5) are encouraged to wear masks, but not required covering both mouth and nose.
    • Elementary (K–5) are required to wear masks covering both mouth and nose.
    • Access participants are encouraged to wear masks, but not required.
    • Middle School & High School are required to wear masks.
  • We’ll check everyone’s temperature, including kids & volunteers, before they come into Kidustrial Park. Anyone with a temperature over 99 degrees will be asked to leave.
  • We have modified experiences and will limit numbers in our environments to reduce, but not eliminate, close contact in all our rooms. In Kidustrial Park, we're sticking to small group experiences to reduce close contact.
  • To limit the number of individuals in spaces, please send only one parent for drop-off and pick-up.
  • Prepackaged snacks will be given to kids during service or to kids to take home depending on their age group.
  • We ask that all diaper bags/backpacks stay with the child's parent.
  • We’ll be cleaning and sanitizing rooms, restrooms, doors, furniture, and toys during, in between, and after services.
  • By checking your child in, you're confirming that your child is symptom-free and has not been in direct contact with an individual with COVID-19 within the last two weeks.
Email us if you have questions about NextGen Programming.

Additional COVID-19 Related Info

When we make decisions or have updates, they'll be here. This situation is fluid; so stay tuned for those updates here or on our social media feeds.
  • Service times will be 9 & 11am at both campuses to ensure ample time for cleaning and sanitization between services.
  • Online worship experiences will still be offered at 9 & 11am, 4:30pm, and on demand by the end of day Sunday. We encourage all attendees over the age of 65 or those who are considered at higher risk to continue worshiping with us online.
  • We encourage you to meet with your life group or other friends to watch services and worship together.
  • We make decisions about re-opening and remaining open based on three guiding principles:
    1. The Creek is not and has not been closed. Our church is as alive now as it's even been.
    2. We want to keep people safe and continue to have a strong witness for Jesus in our city.
    3. When we can meet in person, we want everyone to have a chance to worship and engage fully with one another.
  • If you have questions, email contact@thecreek.org.

Daily Prayer at 3:17

We’re completely convinced that the best way to help our neighbors during this time is to pray. Because we’ve been talking about being For The 317, how incredible would it be if we joined together at the feet of Jesus every day at 3:17? So set a reminder on your phone or mark it on a calendar to join us. Here are daily prayer prompts to better equip your prayer times:
  • Monday: Those affected by the global pandemic
  • Tuesday: Our families, including those with special needs
  • Wednesday: Elderly and high-risk communities
  • Thursday: Local, state, and national officials
  • Friday: Healthcare workers and first responders
  • Saturday: Small businesses
  • Sunday: Church family and global church
